How do I claim a Scratch & Win prize?
$50 and $100 winners can claim their prize at the prize kiosk in the Prairie Mall. Larger amounts or those claimed after the ticket sales cut off must be claimed by filling in the information on the back of the scratch portion of the ticket and mailing it to: PO Box 1281, Grande Prairie, AB T8V 4Z2. **NOTE: the address on the back of the Scratch & Win ticket was printed before the PO Box was confirmed as the official address. Scratch & Wins are paid by cheque and mailed to the address on the ticket stub. Scratch & Wins can be claimed up to 1 year from the draw date. Deadline to claim is January 5, 2019. There are 405 Scratch & Win prizes to be won totaling $25,000. These are broken down into: 5 x $500, 50 x $100, 350 x $50.

Mastercard, Visa, cheque, debit, or cash. Direct debit and cash will be accepted at the Prairie Mall kiosk only.

No. Ticket purchasers are able to purchase tickets in either lottery without having to purchase tickets in both lotteries.

No there is no tax receipt issued and the ticket is not tax deductible
Must the ticket purchaser and the name on the ticket be over the age of 18 years?
When ordering on-line, do I get an e-mail confirmation?
Yes. Official Lottery Ticket(s) will be mailed out within 2-3 weeks.
Are ticket purchasers eligible for all prizes?
Ticket purchasers are eligible for all prizes. By law your ticket must be returned to the draw barrel for any non-identical prize, meaning if the prize changes (Ex: 1st prize is different from 2nd prize) the ticket must be re-entered into the draw barrel. However, if there are 100 of the same prize, your ticket does not go back in for each of the identical prizes.
Can tickets be put in the name of a corporation or business?
Yes. Should the ticket be a winner, the prize is then awarded to the corporation or business and the person who claims the prize must be able to prove they are an authorized officer of that company.
How many names can be put on a ticket?
Should a purchaser want to put more than 2 names on a ticket it is recommended that the purchaser keep record of who is involved with the purchase. The licensee will not be responsible for any conflict between joint ticket purchases. In the event of a winning ticket stub having more than one name the lottery will award the prize to any individual whose name is listed on the stub. The licensee is not responsible for resolving any disputes, which may arise from the different individuals.
How are prizes awarded?
Once draws have been completed prize letters will be mailed out within 3-4 weeks following the draw. The prize letter informs the winner of what they have won and where and when to pick up their prize. They must have the prize letter and picture I.D. to claim the prize. All prizes must be accepted as awarded there will be no cash substitutions.
Can people order from outside the province of Alberta?
Any purchaser who RESIDES OUTSIDE ALBERTA BUT IS PHYSICALLY WITHIN ALBERTA AT TIME OF PURCHASE may purchase a ticket. The ticket can be mailed to any address (even out of Alberta). The Cars for Christmas Mega Lottery is not responsible for provincial or state taxes imposed on a prize exported out of Alberta.
Who cannot purchase tickets?
The Lottery Manager, Financial Controller and Volunteer coordinator, and employees of Stride Management Corp. will not be eligible to purchase tickets. All members of the Swan City Rotary Club are eligible to purchase tickets.
